To go with the new plasma for the front room I think this is ideal. The thing I like about it the most is the analog to HMDI conversion. What's that mean? Means you only need one HDMI cable between the receiver and the screen. All the video sources, like the VCR and the laser disk player, connect to the Yamaha and it takes care of upconverting that lousy analog video to 1080p hi-def beauty. Another thing that's intgreguing is the Network Receiver function. Don't know exactly how it works, but it claims to allow you to stream stuff from t'internet. |
