Just bought one of these, thought it would be good for keeping track of the number of runs Ben and I do in a day when we're at Northstar doing black diamonds.

Up until now I've used my phone to get a snapshot of our ski runs, but using a cellphone to track your waypoints limits you due to the poor battery life of running the GPS on a phone all day. This should work a lot better and allow me to track the total vertical, distance, etc., that we cover in a days snowboarding/skiing.
